  Great menu, with meals at a realistic price for the excellent quality. Friendly staff. As a result it books up fast and a long way in advance. Tip: ask about the "Pre Theatre" menu of slightly smaller dishes ordered up to 7pm mid week. Even better value as you pay fixed prices for two or three courses. If there is nothing you fancy you can always revert to the full menu.

  My work colleagues and I attended the Fat Boar for our Christmas meal in December and the service was very slow and the food was warm at best and in one case, cold when we received it. A very poor experience.
  
  We complained to the Manager and in fairness all 8 of us were invited back to give them a chance to put things right.
  
  What a difference. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautiful and it didn't cost us a penny - not even the drinks.
  
  Now that is good customer service. Thank you all at the Fat Boar, and please be assured that we will be back!
